Contest Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to residents of India & members of Photography Dossiers who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.

  • Real people playing with gulal and other artificial colors needs to be present in your submission.

  • Professionals and students who want to become artists, photographers and editors are eligible.

  • Submitted work shall be documented, clicked, recorded or edited between 23rd March 2024 - 25th March 2024 only. While judging or analyzing the submissions if found the material is prior to or after the eligible dates entry will be disqualified.

  • Mobile cameras, DSLR and all professional-grade equipment are allowed.

Contest Period

  • The contest will begin on 23rd March 2024 and end on 25th March 2024.

  • All entries must be submitted by 31st March 2024. Late entries will not be considered.

Contest Theme

  • Competition entry should have a symbolization of India as a nation in your final work.

  • The final work should also showcase the identification of the place like famous landmarks or government signboards.

Entry Requirements

  • Participant may submit up to 2 entries max in any combination of photography, videography, or edited content.

  • All entries must be original and created by the participant.

  • Entries must adhere to applicable photography laws and street photography rules in India.

Submission Guidelines

  • All entries must be submitted electronically through the official contest form only.

  • Photographs must be below 15 MB per submission and Video less than 100 MB.

  • Cropping of the image is not allowed

  • Edited content must clearly demonstrate the creative use of editing techniques while maintaining the integrity of the original work.

  • Entries must not contain any offensive, inappropriate, or copyrighted material.

Editing Categories (Artificial Intelligence-Generated Editing Work will not be considered)

Editors need to submit the video recording of the time line clearly showing the file naming and the final submitted footage material in it to verify the editing process.

Judging and Selection

  • Entries will be judged by a panel of experts based on creativity, technical skill and adherence to the theme.

  • The decision of the judges is final and binding.

  • Winners will be announced on 30th April 2024 through the contest website, email notification and official social media channels.

Prizes

  • Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category, including cash prizes, and premium membership benefits.

  • First Prize ₹ 1500 & premium membership benefits for 6 months

  • Second Prize ₹ 1000

  • Third prize, one free internship shoot with a professional wedding team and partner companies.

Ownership and Usage

  • Participants retain ownership of their submitted work. However, by entering the contest, participants grant the organizers and Photography Dossiers a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display the entries for promotional and marketing purposes.

  • Any commercial use of the entries beyond the contest's promotional activities will require the explicit consent of the participants.

  • Work submitted for this competition can not be used by the freelancer/ participants on any other social media platform or on their own social media accounts for the duration of 1 year starting from the date of submission.

Disqualification

  • Entries that violate the terms and conditions, contain offensive content or are found to be fraudulent will be disqualified.

  • Plagiarism and copyright infringement will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Winners later will be require to submit the RAW/ Original files containing the Geo Tags and Metadata details to prove the originality of their work. Failing to produce the original/ RAW data will result in disqualification of the entry.

Liability

  • Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, licenses, or releases for the subjects, locations, and any recognizable individuals featured in their entries.

  • Photography Dossiers is not liable for any copyright infringement or legal disputes arising from the submitted entries.

General Conditions

  • Photography Dossiers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that violates the terms and conditions or fails to meet the submission guidelines.

  • The contest may be cancelled, modified, or suspended in the event of unforeseen circumstances or technical issues.

  • By participating in the contest, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
